Omar Stanley Bailey is a Design Entrepreneur who built his reputation working with corporations, small businesses, and stars by listening to their needs and ideas and creating technology and prototype enabled design solutions. During that time, Omar has designed and created footwear for top-tier brands such as Adidas & Timberland along with athletes and entertainers such as Karim Benzema, Terry Crews, Quest Love, & Jay-Z. Starting with his facility in Manhattan, Omar is one of the few pioneers in the unique sneaker prototyping space. He is able to translate an abstract conceptual idea, into a complex 2d/3d design which is then further (using high tech equipment) prototyped into a physical shoe. This critical middle step is a game changer in the industry. Having also spent years in China and India understanding the confluence of design with mass contract manufacturing, Omar has a unique understanding how to bring a product to reality. From 2019-2022 Omar was the Head of the Innovation Lab at Yeezy/Adidas. During Omar’s time at Yeezy it has grown by more than $1 billon in revenues. Omar and his team were responsible for the execution of Kanye West’s vision from conception to creation at its prototyping lab.

Mr. Bailey began his college career as an Industrial Design student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Bailey transferred to the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning at the University of Cincinnati after hearing of its cooperative learning program which enables students to gain valuable and practical work experience as a part of the college curriculum. Between the years 2003-2006 Mr. Bailey had the opportunity to design footwear and products for New Balance, K-Swiss, and Hewlett Packard to name a few. The on-site business and design experience led Mr. Bailey to start his own design firm in 2006, followed by the establishment of Omar Bailey Footwear in 2015. 

As a young designer and entrepreneur Mr. Bailey believes in building viable community partnerships and giving back by sharing his knowledge, expertise, and experience while he and his ventures expand. He believes that sharing now is an investment into the future. His message to the youth is around excellence and practice and he believes that it is essential for all people to have the courage to fail while maintaining a strong network to succeed. While many believe Mr. Bailey has accomplished a great deal in his 37 short years he believes he has a long way to go. Yet he is willing to share his story from being a skinny, shy boy growing up in West Palm Beach, FL to becoming an ambitious and successful designer and entrepreneur living in New York City. With his highly evolved business acumen and stealth design leadership, Bailey remains humble, and when asked about his current success, he will tell you that "Dreaming is truly believing."
